Twelve-year-old Andi Carter loves to ride her palomino filly, Taffy, and help rope calves on the Circle C ranch. When she accepts a challenge from a young ranch hand to see who is better with a lasso, she sets out to prove that she is. Trouble is, Taffy is not her mount today. Soon, Andi finds herself thrown, hurt, and on her own . . . in the middle of the Circle C’s vast rangeland.
